After months of use, it begins to carry its owner\u2019s character too. The areas you touch most often start to look different from the protected corners. That is one reason we like leather: its appearance keeps developing after it leaves the workshop.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change does not always mean a fault<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patina is a general term for changes that develop on the surface over time. Leather may gain a sheen, change shade and show its creases more clearly. The pace depends on the material, finish and use. Two wallets made from the same leather need not look the same after a year.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not every mark needs treatment<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look closely at a mark before reaching for a care product. A slight colour change at a bend in pull-up leather is different from a cut. A broken stitch, deep damage or separation deserves attention rather than being dismissed as \u2018natural patina\u2019. Ageing well is not an excuse for faulty workmanship.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let the piece be used<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no need to scratch leather deliberately or accelerate ageing with oil. Normal use, gentle dust removal and sensible care suited to the finish are enough. If you prefer things to remain perfectly uniform, expressive pull-up leather may not be your choice.
